  1. This year, as I was working and volunteering at election polls, I realized the amount of people who were so persistent in making sure they got the "I Voted" sticker. As if it was a fashionable accessory to wear on November 6th. My 15 year old sister even wanted one. I realized soon after that when walking on campus or even in the city, everyone was proudly displaying their sticker. This is a good sign, isn't it? It shows that people care enough to let it be known that they voted. Or it can be that they don't want to seem apathetic, which is still good. As voter turnout increases, so does the excitement that comes with each election. This sticker is a trade for a vote which symbolizes the recognized effort (presumably) of the years of campaigning that has gone behind a single vote/single sticker.
